Current Teaching

 Michaela Griffiths leads Initial Teacher Education Primary professional practice modules for BA and PGCE Primary Education at ¹û¶³´«Ã½ University. She leads Primary mentor training and works collaboratively with ¹û¶³´«Ã½ partnership schools, sitting on the Partnership Steering Group. 

With a passion for Primary history, Michaela collaborates with colleagues in the ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Education Department Humanities team to teach on cross curricular and interdisciplinary modules, advocating a creative approach to teaching and learning and taking children beyond the classroom.


Biography

A Senior Lecturer in Primary Education at ¹û¶³´«Ã½ University, Michaela has 23 years’ previous experience teaching and leading in Primary schools in England. Following six years as a headteacher in both inner city and rural Primary schools, Michaela transferred to Higher Education to continue to train and support the next generation of Primary teachers, with the aim of making a positive difference to children's lives.
