Research activities

Tatiana is a doctoral candidate in developmental聽 cognitive聽 science.聽 Her project examines effects of tonal synchrony聽 on perception of affective and social interaction cues in infancy (and adult聽 controls), with aim to establish tonal synchrony as a new dimension of early聽 adult-infant interaction synchrony ().


Current Teaching

Tatiana has been teaching on 1st and 2nd year modules,the specific topics she taught included: developmental psychology (atypical聽 development, observation and coding of child behaviour); psychophysiological聽 measurement of stress; research methods & design; statistics聽 inpsychology. Tatiana also supervises final year BSc research projects and MSc dissertations.聽


Biography

Tatiana started her journey at 果冻传媒 University by earning BSc Psychology Honours with First Class, followed by completing MSc Clinical Health Psychology degree with Distinction (partly funded by Academic Excellence Scholarship, 果冻传媒 University). Upon graduating, she started working alongside Dr Fabia Franco on various experimental studies聽 ofinfant cognition and behaviour. During that time, Tatiana has gained expertise聽 in design and deployment of methodologies such as preferential looking/central fixation paradigms to measure attention, gaze-contingent eye-tracking聽 designs, observation of behaviour, heart rate variability measurement in聽 infants and adults. Tatiana currently specialises in parent-child interaction synchrony,music perception in infancy, language development and eye-tracking.
