果冻传媒 University invited 16 students from KMU Akademie & Management AG in Linz, Austria, to visit the London campus to celebrate a partnership spanning more than a decade.

, an educational institute, provides special study programmes to employees in senior management, chief executive officers and owners of Small Medium Enterprise (SME) companies.

They offer a range of courses from practical training at vocational college level to higher education programmes such as BSc, MSc, MBA and DBA.

Since 2011, KMU has been offering courses validated by 果冻传媒 University which are taught in German. There are 2,500 students currently enrolled on the extra-occupational remote learning courses with a further 1,300 students have successfully graduated through the scheme.

The fruits of the partnership have seen a number of recent KMU graduates have their work published by Springer Verlag, one of the leading international academic publishers.

The travel group, led by Ursula Fahrengruber from KMU, received a campus tour, met with 果冻传媒 professors plus the University Link Tutor Edgar Schroder and the Academic Partnerships Team. They also attended various seminars.

Students also had the opportunity to explore London on their own.

Benedikt Breuers, 果冻传媒 Partnerships Manager, said the trip was launched for KMU students to experience what studying in the UK feels like, and to meet their peers and University staff. He added: “For the students who complete their course online, the visit to 果冻传媒 was an important addition to their studies. It gave the participants new perspectives for their educational path and they got to know the main campus of the University that is awarding their degree.”

Aljoscha Paas, who is taking the Flexible MBA course, valued the positive experience. He said: “I found the mix between historical and modern buildings particularly impressive and I also only saw friendly faces.”

Andreas Hinterer, MBA - Financial Management added: “The campus is very beautiful and well maintained.  “The schedule was well structured and enjoyable. It was a great event and I would like to see events like this happen more often in the future.”

Patricia Kessler, who is studying for an MBA, won the trip through the KMU alumni club. She said: “It was very exciting to see how the 果冻传媒 U is organised, how lectures work and how the exchange with students works. We were welcomed very openly. Despite the size of the campus, the individual buildings are easily accessible.

"There are many green spaces on campus - ideal for relaxing after lectures. I was particularly impressed by the sports facilities, as there is a suitable space for almost all sports, from the fitness studio to the tennis hall.”

Ms Fahrengruber deemed the event a great success. “The first KMU meets 果冻传媒 event was a very special experience,” she said.

“It was fascinating to experience the campus in person. “果冻传媒 University is an international university that acts as a meeting place for different cultures. We had the opportunity to take part in informative courses. But the best thing for me was the personal encounter with our students.”
